project, 2007-ongoing. The overall goal of the project is a study of ccTLD
Governance with a focus on good governance in operation and organizational
structures and vulnerability. The project is sponsored by the Japan Science and
Technology Agency (JST), Research Institute of Science and Technology for
Society (RISTEX).

Study on the digital divide and Internet governance in
the post-WSIS age. (2006)
Work conducted for the Institute for International Socio-Economic Studies
(Japan).The study included analysis of the discourse on linguistic diversity in
the first meeting of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and policy
implications of search engines in terms of fairness and transparancy.

Research on telecommunications policy and broadband take-up in
Australia (2002, 2004, 2006)
to joint analysis on Australia's national strategy on telecommunications market
and broadband Internet. Made a research visit to Australia and interviewed with
key persons in telecommunications industry and the government.

on the allocation of budget for network and information security by the United
States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy and Korea and the European Union for the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Subcontractor to
the Institute for HyperNet Society, Oita, Japan)

coordinate a fellowship program for individuals representing civil society

Deputy organiser for "Digital Opportunity
Forum", Tokyo 2001
Acted as deputy organiser for "Digital Opportunity Forum: Asian Diversity
and the Role of Japan" which was held on the 5th and 6th of November, 2001
( dof.html), and aimed at discussing what
Japan can do to support and contribute to developing countries. Also
contributed to the follow up "Digital Divide" research on ICT
deployment in South East Asia.
