Mr. Prof. Al Debaisi holds a Ph.D. in media from the University of Baghdad.  He started his journalistic work as an editor for Al-Jumhuriya newspaper published in Baghdad. Worked as an associate professor in the Journalism Department, Faculty of Mass Communication, Middle East University in Jordan, from 2020-2022, and a faculty member in the Faculty of Mass Communication, University of Petra, from 2009-2020. He holded the position of Assistant Dean of the College of Information for Quality Assurance Affairs at the University of Petra for the period from 2017-2020.

He published five books, the most recent of which was: Digital Media and the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence in 2022. He also published 21 scientific studies in peer-reviewed journals, indexed globally and regionally (Scopus, (EBSCO), and Ashraf Over 10 master’s students. ALso member of the Union of Arab Journalists, active member of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, member of the editorial board of 9 peer-reviewed scientific journals specialized in media and communication. In 2022, he ranked first for the second time in a row among the top 10 Arab authors who topped the list of authors cited for their scientific production Arabs in the field of media and communication, according to the annual report of (Arcif) to measure the impact factor, and the reference citations of Arab scientific journals.(Ver. 05-2023)
