06May

The Kingdom of the Netherlands will be hosting this event, with a welcoming ceremony scheduled at the Peace Palace on 13 May 2024. This landmark conference is being organised by UNESCO in cooperation with the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and supported by the City of The Hague. The event will also mark the beginning of the anniversary celebrations that will take place worldwide throughout 2024. The conference will provide a platform for participants to reflect on the achievements, best practices, challenges, and difficulties associated with the 1954 Hague Convention and its two Protocols (1954 and 1999). It will be an opportunity for the world community to consider the future directions of these instruments. If you’re interested in attending, the conference will be held in-person from 13 May 2024 at 5:00 pm to 15 May 2024 at 1:30 pm. It’s an invitation to all interested parties to join in and contribute to this important discussion.
