In brief: Professor Ifedayo Daramola holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Babcock University , Ilishan Remo Ogun State, Nigeria. Dr. Daramola, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko Ondo State, Nigeria.

Ifedayo Daramola was born on 7 April, 1961 in Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria. He attended Saint David Primary School, Akure (1966-1972), Akure High school, Akure (1976-1981) and Baptist Academy, Obanikoro, Lagos (1981-1983) for his Higher School Certificate.

Daramola proceeded to University of Lagos where he obtained Bachelor degree with (Honours) in Mass Communication in 1986, M.sc (Political Science) (1989), M.sc Mass communication (2003) and Ph.D. Mass Communication, Babcock University (2013).

Ifedayo Daramola has worked in both public service and private sector. In 1989, he joined the Directorate of Social Mobilization (MAMSER) under the presidency until 1996. Thereafter, he worked at a Radio station and newspaper house. From there he joined the academia. He has served as Head of Department, Level coordinator and members of several committees in the university.

He has authored and co-authored several books including Introduction to Mass Communication, History and Development of Mass Media in Nigeria, Law & Ethics of Media Practice, Mass Media and Society, Community Media and Rural Journalism in Africa, Graphic Communication and Research Methods in Social Science and Management. He has so many papers in Learned Journals to his credit. His area of specialization includes media and politics, political communication, political public relations, political advertising and community/rural journalism.

He’s well-travelled, his marriage is blessed with three children. Daramola is currently a lecturer at the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria. His hobby includes writing, reading, story-telling and adventure seeking. Daramola is also a community leader.
