
The UNESCO Chair in Communication and Technologies for Development (CUCTD) and the Network of UNESCO Chairs in Communication (ORBICOM) are pleased to announce the call for papers for their 2026 Annual International Conference, to be held October 27–30, 2026, in Montreal, Canada, at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
Under the theme “Media, Artificial Intelligence, and Democracy : Communicative Imaginaries in a Fragmented Digital World”, this conference aims to create a space for international and interdisciplinary dialogue on the connections between media, technology, democracy, and human rights, with the goal of proposing solutions and perspectives for public policy, education, and governance.
