Dr. Bruce Mutsvairo’s research primarily focuses on three themes:

• The interplay between journalism, media an democracy
• The intersection of press freedom, safety of journalists and conflict
• Digital and data dissidents, citizen journalists and activists’ use of online-based technologies, including social media platforms to influence political change under the prevailing misinformation ecology

A former journalist with the Associated Press, he has published numerous scholarly books.
