Similarly, the impacts of conflicts on water resources are numerous and often indirect, such as those related to forced migration and increased exposure to health risks. Climate change, geopolitical unrest, pandemics, mass migrations, hyperinflation, and other crises can exacerbate inequalities in water access. Generally, the poorest and most vulnerable groups are those whose well-being is most at risk.
